In Incline Village on Lake Tahoe today I saw a brand-spankin'-new Ford Excursion with a factory lift kit, over-sized rims & tires, over-sized soup can exhaust... and a "Keep Tahoe Blue" bumper sticker.

TonyPSchaefer 04-04-2007, 10:28 AM It's such a shame you didn't have a camera. Is it me, or does it seem like we have more people living in denial while contributing to the problem?I was thinking that a good new bumper sticker would be something to the extent of "Are you a boiling frog?" tbaleno 04-04-2007, 11:00 AM Truthfully though, I think each of us is hypocritical in our own ways. So we shouldn't get down on people like this driver. tbaleno 04-04-2007, 11:30 AM The point is he was driving one of the larger SUVs and saying he wants his lake polution free. tigerhonaker 04-04-2007, 11:40 AM The point is he was driving one of the larger SUVs and saying he wants his lake polution free. I just new I missed something. ;) Thanks for bringing me up to speed. tarabell 04-04-2007, 11:49 AM We all have our personal inconsistencies, but I think the driver's blissfully unaware their car sends one message while their bumper sticker sends another. Nothing wrong with either message -- but it’s a little like wearing army fatigues to a peace rally. You have to admire their capacity for rationalization. tbaleno 04-04-2007, 12:12 PM Maybe he uses the suv to pull is 75' sailboat or somethign ;) Who knows. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
