Thanks to everyone for all their suggestions about fuel economy and the scanguage 2. it has helped alot. One other question. My TPS at idle was 11. Someone suggested to add 4 to this number and that is my cutoff? Is that accurate? Or is there another way to calculate cutoff.

A cutoff of 15 may be accurate, but it is more of a good starting point. You may have to do some extra testing. What you want to see is when you decelerate from speed by just taking your foot off the gas while your car is in gear, you should see that your MPG reads 9999 and your GPH reads 0.00. If it doesn't do it within a second or two of decelerating, or does it while your foot is still on the throttle, you'll have to adjust one way or the other.
And glad to help! :)

Also, try working through this to help get your SG calibrated.

when I let off the accelerator, it doesn't right away go to 9999. instead it might go to 200 mpg or so . which is great. So if there is a DELAY, should i INCREASE the Cutoff or Decrease? The Calibration weblink you gave me didn't work

Give the link another try -- I've updated it.

If there's a delay, increase the cutoff. My SG indicated my SE-R was getting 9999 mpg cresting every hill, until I decreased the cutoff from its factory preset 24 to a more realistic value (I forget, but somewhere near 9 or 11).
