View Full Version : Gas not expensive enough for Texas gearheads

In Dallas, it's about $3.52 a gallon, but you could never tell that.

I rarely do it these days, but was sick this morning of people automatically slamming around me by the mere sight of an Insight I and all the utter rubbish in their heads about hybrids. The lengths they would go to pass me was absurd. Surely 1-2 hours later they would forget about this, but somehow it was all important to pass me in a fit of rage, burning their wallet and beating their truck up.

The future of America depends on citizens that routinely behave like this?

Guess why I'm pessimistic?

Likely some of that rage results from jealousy boiling over from their knowledge that your gasoline bill is are a fraction of theirs. Here they are spending a fortune on gas to run their rigs while you are tootling on down the road barely inconvenienced by the high cost of gas. How dare you! I'll show you! I'll cut you off to show how pissed I am about the whole situation!

Sadly, I doubt this is anywhere near front of mind for these people. Over time I've observed that some people (perhaps many) have no ability to consider alternative points of view. As such, there is no reasoning/rationalizing with them- they will always think they are right have no comprehension of jerkishness (invented a new word) they display.

Ha! I've forgotten their childishness before the next XM song can start!

It's sad. Is their life so negative that all it takes is a "different" driver to set them off on a rage?

I tend to think decades ago there was less tolerance for adults behaving so immature, but now they are entitled to do this. :(

I deal with this every day in AZ where our state vehicle is the Ford F250 4wd diesel lifted with 35 inch mudders. they speed like crazy from light to light but for me what is even more funny it the prius people who all are in a drag race. at least where i live they are the number one speeders.

That is the main thing, people will just not consider other points of green smoke reviews (http://www.e-cig-bargains.com/prd22_Green_Smoke_discount_coupons_codes.jsp) as long as you do not hit them on the wallet. Once see their money going down the drain they'll start asking questions. But everything takes time and effort, and on the end of day, it is much more difficult to play the catch-up game, than do things early and in planned manner and save on the hustle factor.

That's true. It's a little less bad that way.

The real problem is attitude and aggression. Too many drivers think they own the road and everyone else is just an annoyance to be overcome.

Sadly, it's not just on the road. :(

no the problem is as PaleMelanesian said its the aggression. but it makes me wonder why they bought the car in the first place if all they are going to do is jackrabbit starts and drive with the pedal firmly planted.
