Is there an official CleanMPG sticker? If not what could be some catchy slogans for the sticker? I think we need one:D

Nope. No bumper stickers. Maybe we could use caffe press ( or what ever that company is called) and have them made up

Hi CoasterToaster:

___I sort of wish we did. Terry Honaker installed a really neat CleanMPG.com graphic onto the top most portion of his windscreen for HF2006 last year. I know I was not the only one who loved it! Chuck (Delta Flyer) installed a similar appliqué onto the back of his Insight for the trip up to and back from HF2006 as well.

Sayings or phrases :

1. Making each tank good to the last drop!
2. Mile after mile - we keep going and going etc!

I'm sure I just violated some copyrighted material but these are just ideas.:Banane38:

In regards to my sticker, someone from Wisconsin saw it and joined right after HybridFest 2006. :)

I was late leaving HybridFest, so I took it a little faster. Someone caught me red-handed doing 70-75mph passing 15 beamers donated for Susan G. Komen on I44 in Missouri, not far from efusco's (picture in post #8 in Anti-Funeral Processional (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1761&highlight=komen) )

Weapon of less consumption. This already appears at Cafe Press, but I thought of it first (dammit). At least it's not been trademarked.

Improvised Efficiency Device. Sounds at once half-baked, and revealing of a violent subconscious. Needs more work.

I just want a lowercase greek letter eta to stick on the back window. I need something that the lowest common denominator doesn't understand or else I'll be killed around here. ;)

(Non-nerds: lowercase eta is generally used as the mathematical symbol for efficiency.)

Try this:

http://www.greekgear.com/forcar1.html

Order a custom plate with a single eta in the center spot.

I have a CleanMPG.com sticker on my Prius and on my son's Saturn that I used to drive. I got it from Cafe Press for $3.75 + S&H.

I would love the phrase "Honk if you love hypermilers" and thus, when someone honks at me during my morning commute I could assume they are complimenting my fuel saving driving techniques.

http://www.mobileimage.com/images/cleanmpg2.jpgI'm suprized that in Richardson or Plano you have not crossed path with a silver Insight with a larger plainer CleanMPG font. ;)

I don't have the fuel gage logo so you beat me in the coolness contest.

Yes, I like the red pointer! How does the white look on an untinted window? Here in Pennsylvania it is not even worth tinting windows and even when you follow the 70% rule you still get profiled as a criminal and pulled over.

edit:
Still waiting, would love to get something on there before I drive across country in two weeks. Even if I have to buy outside of a group buy or whatever you guys are planning or trying to arrange. Check out the My Garage link in my signature and let me know how well you think it would show up on my window.

Thanks,

I think this is a great idea and would have loved to have one before going cross country in my HCH but I don't think it is possible now.

Hi Hemi-Sync:

___I received one from Mike yesterday and will install it on the non-tinted back-window of the Ranger to show what it looks like to everyone ...

Great to hear! I had already figured that if either it didn't show up well on my untinted window or my window is too angled, that I could always through it across the rear bumper.

http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q6/HemiSync101/100_0087w-cleanmpg.jpg

Didn't bother to give the window one the right angle in PS but at least I get an idea what it would look like. Since 80% of the FSP that I see around me on the road today are much higher than me I don't think the angle would be too bad after all. lol

Hi Hemi Sync:

___Love what you did to that blue bumper with Photochop :D

___Are you passing through IL on your way across the country by chance? If so and if you want to stop by, I can save Mike's CleanMPG sticker for you if you want as I have not stuck it on the Ranger just yet. It was raining today :(

Thanks for the offer, but going from Northwest Pennsylvania to Southern Florida, so won't be going thru Illinois this time. That's next year's trip, if I decide to do something really stupid and drive to see my daughter in L.A. instead of just flying. ;)

Sorry I refuse to let this die. I can't decide if it looks better on my bumper or the window. any opinions? I feel its the least I can do for the site after all the money the advice here has saved me. Not seen any word from MikeN since his post above. Any word on this great looking sticker?

I think it looks better on the bumper. Putting it across the back window makes it look like one of those stickers for stereo upgrades. IMHO, of course.

More than ever, with all the bad publicity hypermilers are getting. I want this sticker! I want people to know that I am one of those law abiding extremist that get 70,80,90 mpg, according to AAA at least, by following the lessons I have learned at CleanMPG.

Just my opinion.

Ikea and Hemi: Check out this thread (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=120186#post120186), Laurie is willing to put some stickers together if we come up with some good slogans. I've asked her to start an 'official' thread/poll for it. If we all come up with ideas and look through some of the old bumper sticker threads, I'm sure we can get a few good designs.
