Are you going to Hybridfest 2007? It'll be here soon: July 20 - 22 in Madison WI.
*Hybrid Owners Car Showcase – This year's goal: 200 Hybrids on site!
*Hybrid vehicle test drives
*Interesting exhibitors
*Hybrid-related and environmental speakers
*Hybridfest members will once again be competing in the MPG Challenge to see who can get the best mileage!
The MPG Challenge will be limited to the first 35 Hybridfest members who sign up for the MPG Challenge. As of today there are only 19 slots left. Sign up at http://www.hybridfest.com/members.htm.
Last year was great fun, and this year's Hybridfest promises to be even better. See you at Hybridfest!

I'm registered, Bill.
Got an idea for HybridFest - see what you and Eric think.
Recently, a number of locals are making laws to replace incadent bulbs with CFBs.
What about e-mailing lawmakers in California to require new cars display mpg:
instant mpg
trip mpg
lifetime mpgIf just a fraction of the drivers pay attention to the mpg readout, it would still outnumber the entire hybrid driver population.

Here's a link to the running thread on attendees from CleanMPG...

Hi Evan:
___Thanks for linking the thread!
___Bill, I was hoping to see you up at the MaHG meet this past weekend? With your ever so smooth presence, the Discovery Channel guys would have been delighted to get some tape of you doing your Hybrid and/or HF2007 promotion. I hope we will run into one another before HF2007 but at least I know you will be there ;)
___And welcome to CleanMPG! We’ve been keeping the light on for you for quite some time now :D
___Good Luck
___Wayne

Bill had a surprise birthday party to attend so he could not make it last weekend.
On a related note... it was Bill's meeting at a local restaurant that was the first time I ever got together with other hybrid owners in Madison. That meeting went so well that later I began the Madison Hybrid Group. And then after a couple of years we joined forces to volunteer our time to organize Hybridfest.
Hybridfest registration is going well. So far there are people coming from 11 different states. You guys are well on the way to reaching the magic number of 200 hybrids on site.
