The seven-passenger Ford Explorer arrives with a 3.5-liter V-6 that creates 290 horsepower and gets 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. It features the a number of new systems such as the Terrain Management System, which allows a driver to select the surface the Explorer is on and a computer adjusts the throttle input and wheel spin.
