On our trip today we averaged 89.7MPG. Finally we've seen some warmer temps. :bananahuge:

We just beat our 89.7 with our new best record of 94.0 MPG. On this tank, we traveled 282 miles on mostly flat roads in the midwest. We had primarily a tail wind of approx 8 to 12 miles per hour. The average temp was 60 degrees, with an average speed of 50 mph, with no extra hamsters :}

We are getting closer to our goal of 100 mpg.

Your going to have to give us some blow by blow info. You and your son. Are really getting in the game. Support flowing from Okiehoma for yeah.

Those tail winds are great. I had a 58 mpg work segment last week. But the head wind of 30 mph negated it in a hurry coming home that evening.

Very much so. Tarabell's testing is highly recommended and is certainly making a huge FE impact. Also, the other mod's are helping. We will keep trying. :bananalama:

Were those round trip segments? Great job! Would slower speeds give better FE? I am not familiar with the HCH, the prius really shines between 25-40 mph with pulse and glide. I pulled off a couple of 103 mpg, 47 mile round trip segments last September, but in more real world, day to day driving 80 mpg is a stretch for me even in summer weather.

We think a good tail wind really helps, however, speeds btw. 35mph and 55 mph provide good FE readings. Any speed where lean burning can be maintained for long distances seem to work best for the HCH II.
