Hi All:

___For those that may not know, Mary Ann Wright was one of the key personnel responsible for saving the Ford - Escape Hybrid program. She left Ford under undisclosed circumstances but appears to be back.

Richard Truett - Automotive News - Mar. 1, 2007
Fresh off winning a General Motors contract to develop lithium ion batteries for gasoline-electric hybrids, Johnson Controls Inc. is boosting its executive ranks by adding a seasoned hybrid engineer.

Mary Ann Wright, 45, who led the team that rescued the Ford Escape Hybrid, starts today as Johnson Controls' vice president and general manager of hybrid systems and CEO of the company's joint venture with Saft, the French battery company.

Johnson Controls would not comment about personnel moves related to its hybrid activities.

Wright quit Ford in late 2005 and spent 2006 working at interiors supplier Collins & Aikman Corp. as executive vice president of engineering, design, product development and program management. Along with former CEO Frank Macher and a new management team.
___Expect big things from JCI’s hybrid battery division in the near future with Mary Ann Wright behind the "Controls" ;)

___Good Luck

___Wayne

This is really good news. I always felt like she had a clear vision when it came to hybrids.
