Hi All:

___Just browsing the boards and saw a member over at Edmunds pick up an HCH-II w/ NAVI for $100 over invoice at $22,989 ( http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/WebX?14@@.ef27e7f/345) in the Bay area. Nice to see the Honda hybrids hitting the streets for a decent price nowadays as well. With the $2,100 tax credit, that is just $20,889 w/ NAVI. Not bad if I do say so myself …

___Good Luck

Speaking of Prices on Hybrids:

Here is a price on a New 2007 HAH (Honda Accord Hybrid) I just received from the Honda Dealer.

$28,900.00 to me: MSRP was $34,000.00

That was a White, Nav. Hybrid Accord. NEW-UNIT.

In goes without saying I'm not sure they would do that for just anyone but then again who knows???

At the rate my Civic is falling apart at. Im begining to belive Hondas arent worth 10k under invoice. I now have a ungodly load roar coming from the rear of the car. I looked and felt the tires this morning. There good. So its either a wheel bearing or a loose bolt casing a harmonic to set up between 55 and 60 mph.

I'm waiting for Prius III.

I think it will be be worth waiting for. I think it will be a very efficiect Hybrid. Many improvements over all the rest on the market.

I would love to get the new Prius, but from what I read it probably won't be out until late 2008 or early 2009. Has anyone heard when the new one will be out? I don't know if I want to wait until then. I may lease one for now unitl the new model comes out.

Hi Farshad:

___Late 2008 as a 2009 model w/ Li-Ion’s included. This came from the CEO of Toyota Motor Company.

Honda needs to hybridize this (http://paultan.org/archives/2005/07/26/2006-honda-civic/) and bring it to us immediately. A HCH-II was out of the question for me on the basis of an inability to carry bulky items. Though smaller, this little 5-door could have swayed me in a big way!

Hi Tim:

___You are probably already aware but Honda sells that Civic w/ the Fit’s magic rear seats and the 2.2 iCDTi over in Europe as well. Someday maybe …

Well they're getting even cheaper because I was able to get my '07 model at around $200 UNDER invoice for $22,700. (with Nav)

I guess since they stopped handing out the carpool lane stickers they're getting harder to sell over MSRP.

Yes it was a good price. ;)

I'm giving a shout out to www.carbuyingtips.com on that one. Using their tips I had the knowledge to be able to negotiate to that price.
