This ad was in local papers in October:

And in today's, Friday, November 05 papers:

I guess technically it's on the up-and-up: some of the "offers" ended, others continue.

Still interested in what they have to say November 17, regarding new generation of hybrids, etcetera.

Birds of feather: Toyota was having a "cash incentive", also set to expire Nov 01. The Prius cash incentive, for example, was $3000. Had a look, the Nov deadline came and went, the cash incentives are on for another month:

Hi Mendel:

I do not have any sales data for Honda in Canada but if they followed Toyota (down 27% last month in your country), I can see the need for some serious incentives piled on ASAP. I have just never seen Honda and Toyota so blatant before.

Here in the US, Honda does their under the table sales stuff with the $4,000 dealer stuff on Accord’s to keep the residuals but I have never seen it in print and not to the actual $4,000 you have posted above.

In any case, Ford pulled off a positive month in Canada so at least somebody has it figured out while others are imploding.

I will look around this weekend and see if I can find more manufacturer sales in CA. I know of Chrysler’s, Ford’s and Toyota’s but not sure about anyone else right now.

All said, an 11 Fit Sport w/ a stick in the $12,500 USD area down here would be one hell of a good deal imho ;)

Good Luck

Wayne
