Chuck 02-17-2007, 11:59 AM In the past couple of years or so, Detroit has laid off around 100,000 jobs. :( Who is in the Worst Shape? diamondlarry 02-17-2007, 04:27 PM I voted for(against?) Ford due to the lastest news about their huge losses. Chuck 02-17-2007, 07:47 PM The big wild card is what happens to Chrysler? I'm leaning towards Chrysler being the weakest, although Ford is hurting really bad. If GM really did buy Chrysler, then I'm going to start thinking it's the end of US automakers. tbaleno 02-17-2007, 09:06 PM Chrysler isn't doing that bad. Sure, they are hurting like the rest of them, but Ford is definatly in the #1 spot. Chuck 02-18-2007, 08:51 AM I think about this and it's a tough call for me... GM has the largest market share and best R&D - if they follow thru to the showroom Ford does not have much in the way of hot models, and have a longer road than GM, but the FEH is a good hybrid Chrysler "compact" is the PT - and it's classified as a "truck". Do they have any fuel efficient vehicles? (don't know if the Smart counts) They would be least likely to get a bailout as long as they are associated with a foreign automaker.I have not voted, but figured GM is not the worst off at this point. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
