Someone at the gym was careless opening the minivan door. After I said "Be Careful!", it turned out to be a six year old boy, and I was backpedaling to say it's not a big deal (and it's not). Some minor detailing work will remove the paint and you would never find it.

Forgive and forget.

Hmmm, took the Honda to the dealer for a tire rotation. The six year old's father must be a mechanic there. (I wanted someone familiar with the wheels to do the work - I was trying to prevent cosmetic damage to the wheel casting)

So, when I returned to the car, I found two rather substaintial dings in the drivers side door. I was stunned. I calmly went back and asked to see the service manager. When he inspected the damage, he immediately took responsibility and agreed to fix it.

Whew!

good to know they will make it right. i assume its the honda place way out richmond road? thats where i got my new battery and computers last year. might be the last place i take it for service though. i tend to do all my own work.

wow, that is crazy - you would think the dealer would be take the best care of your car, but I too have found that is not the case.

Glad to hear they are taking responsibility and repairing the damage.
