Cowboys are not playing in their own stadium for this Super Bowl...the Wade Phillips deathwatch is starting....just one question about the replacement...is there a good coach out there willing to work in Dallas? I thought so too. ;)
Favre must have retired - the Vikings are 0-2. He's not? :o
John Fox is in the last year of his contract hoping to bring his job back from the grave...with a 0-2 start it would be rising from the dead.

Hot Teams
To the tune of the old Oilers fight song: "Houston Texans! Houston Texans! Houston Texans #1..." and 2-0 facing the Cowboys to be best in Texas...Cows will probably sitout the playoffs watching the Texans.
The Packers look good.
How are the Steelers winning without a quarterback?
Tampa Bay?!
And Kansas City!
Hi Chuck:
I did not get to watch the Bears/Cowboys game as I was at a church meeting all afternoon but to see the 27-20 score makes me wonder wth happened? The Bears should be 0-2 right now and lucked out against Detroit with a bad call. Then the Big D comes in and gets spanked? What is up with Dallas anyway?

Wayne,
Lovie Smith might save his job from the early Christmas gifts, wrapped in blue and silver both times. Dallas gave the ball to Chicago three times.
Cowboy O-line is suspect, the offense never got it together in pre-season....that's run by heir-apparent Jason Garrett (who Jerry Jones fantasyizes is the next Sean Peyton, formerly of Dallas...Jerry also thought Quincy Carter was Vince Young, Roy Williams was Michael Irvin... :o ), so if he replaces Wade Phillips as head coach, it would be like promoting the Deepwater Horizon supervisor to BP CEO. :o
It could be a long time before the Cows win this year. Next games:
Houston
bye-bye week
Tennessee
Minnesota
NY Giants

WayneSee Jean-Jacques Taylor of The Dallas Morning News (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/football/cowboys/stories/092010dnspotaylor.10d6d613b.html) Basically says players are not motivated and the coaching has fallen apart.
Their schedule gets harder, so it could be well into the middle of the season by the time Dallas finally wins.
In a few weeks, the firing of Wade Phillips will be a given, but promoting Jason Garett would be a joke...he is the one that is responsible for the sad state of their offense.
Who is willing to coach for Dallas? Not the best ones...they are going to wait for an enviroment they can succeed...that enviroment is NOT one the owner infringes on the coach's authority and picks the players. As General Manager, Jerry Jones has done a better job than Matt Millan, but can't think of anyone else he's done better than. Then if a coach has a problem with a player, they can always go to Jerry - undermining his authority. Bill Parcells would never have gotten T.O., and would have dealt with him if he had been at any team - but Dallas.
So now they have a $1.2B stadium that needs to be paid....maybe Jerry Jones will decide like in 2002 he can't be the center of attention like Al Davis and expect fans to come, so he looks for another real coach like Bill Parcells. Problem is that's already happened, and Jones did not completely leave him alone....you seriously think someone like Bill Cowher is going to sign with Dallas without authority to pick his entire coaching staff, initiate trades, and have a say on major trades?
Here's the parodox: you have a proud owner that wants to be seen as great - a winner, yet over the last 15 years at the helm has embarrassingly underachieved. Why not do like the original Cowboys, Steelers, and Patriots do and just find the best GM and Head Coach and leave them alone? He might have 1-2 more Super Bowl trophies. ;)

Stuffed on 6 consecutive running plays near the goal-line. Don't know that you can blame the QB for that. ;)
