Car News briefs: Honda prices Fit;

Honda has announced pricing for the 2007 Honda Fit, due to hit showrooms on April 20.
The base Fit, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $13,850, is powered by a 109 horsepower, 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, VTEC engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. Automatic transmission models start at $14,650.
Priced at $15,170, the Fit Sport with manual transmission adds a rear roofline spoiler, aero body kit, fog lights, security system with keyless remote entry, cruise control, a 200-watt, six-speaker audio system and 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Fit Sport models with the available automatic transmission, including standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, start at $15,970.
The Fit can also be customized with Honda Factory Performance equipment, including 16-inch alloy wheels, sport exhaust, chrome exhaust tip finisher, rear bumper accents and a sport mesh grille.
Destination and handling charges for all 2007 Honda vehicles are $550.
