Think Bill Gates is a great guy with his philanthropy?

Bill and Melinda Gates foundation invests in a company that does this.


The oil plants in the region surrounding Ebocha find it cheaper to burn nearly 1 billion cubic feet of gas each day and contribute to global warming than to sell it. They deny the flaring causes sickness. Under pressure from activists, however, Nigeria's high court set a deadline to end flaring by May 2007. The gases would be injected back underground, or trucked and piped out for sale. But authorities expect the flares to burn for years beyond the deadline.

That's just terrible.
I've been trying to weene myself away from Gate's Microsoft for a few months now.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I'm glad I've found a good alternative to Micro$oft in the (free) Linux OS OpenSuse 10.2.
My own efforts against M$ may be insignificant and miniscule but makes me feel good anyway.
I just can't stand Gates and Micro$oft's predatory and pompus attitude.
