I recently got rid of my 2007 Scion Tc man. trans. I was sucking up unbelievable amounts of gasoline. I had to fuel 2x a week at $35 each. Wasn't doing a lot of driving but hey, I had some fun with it. I got a 2010 Toyota Corolla S 4cyl 1.8 May 1rst. I love it. I have about near 2k miles on it so far. I am already getting far more than posted poster (hehe). I test it all this week. I have been getting 44.5mpg on the streets and 60.7mpg on the expressway. Is my meter broken?:Banane13:

Holy cow...nice mgp, you must tick off a few fsp drivers. What is the average mileage for a tank?
Hi Ordinary hero:
Congrats and thank you.
Sidfreak, regarding ticking off the FSP and aggressive drivers, if he’s between the limits and in the right hand lane, piss them off and smile while you are doing it I always say :)
Good Luck

Don't mean to hyjack thread, but.....is the fsp the vehicle or the guy behind the wheel.
Hi Sidfreak:
The vehicle although your idea makes a lot of sense. A FSP could be the driver if they are racing needlessly from stop light to stop light just throwing it away! They are acting like a pig and fuel sucking would be a great description.
Good Luck

Those are awesome numbers.
I have a 2009 Corolla S 1.8 AT, but don't usually see numbers like that. I assume you are MT?
On a good average I see somewhere between 38-40mpg with mine. Wish I could bump that, but haven't really been able to over the years. I must be missing something in my techniques.
:D
