It's just around the corner! The 2010 Alternative Energy Fair in Lacey, WA is holding the third MPG rally. Find more info at this link: http://www.ci.lacey.wa.us/events/updates/lacey_event_b.html

In years past we've had 6-8 participants. All were very good drivers and a few very nearly doubled the EPA combined for the course!

This year I'm hoping to see an electric vehicle or two, motorcycles, LPG. Come out, drive and learn from others. Heck it's free and you get goodie bags.

I'll see you there!

I've made it to the first two events (just beating 60mpg in my Golf TDI both times), but this year I have too much going on and won't be able to make it. Hope it goes well!

WriConsult, darn I was hoping you would be able to make it. Hope all is going well.

Everyone else, if you are considering an MPG driving event and live anywhere near Portland or Seattle, this is one of the only events. Participants have given good feedback to the 91 mile course and the rest of the fair is pretty fun as well. The MPG rally booth draws about 150 people that attend the fair and they are directed to the drivers to learn what to do. It has been a good way to teach the public how to improve mileage. This year with $3.00 gas I expect even more foot traffic.

See you there!
