Well, Texas is really big in wind power. To his credit President Bush did recognize that our dependence on foreign oil was "a dagger pointed at our heart" .He said exactly that (well that is a paraphrase from a distant memory) more than once.
Granted, he didn't do what I would have liked for him to do to dull that dagger.

Actually as much as I hate to say it was G.W. Bush that got Texas into wind generation. There was an article and no I don't have the link but he told his staff that went something like "you know I like wind power, let's bring it here to the state. Like him or not I believe if it wasn't for Bush we wouldn't have the amount of wind power here in the state. kevin
