2011 Hyundai Sonata - $19,195 to start and 35 mpg highway on a display stand.
Hyundai released a teaser image of the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, which will be premiered for the first time at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) next week. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30238) we have been discussing is not only ascetically unique but truly capable with a 35 mpgUS highway rating from both the 6-Speed AT and MT.
The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid's engine is limited at best with the only known component being a Li-Ion battery pack. If Hyundai uses their 1.6L GDI base engine, this could possibly reach Prius territory FE and when I say Prius territory from a car almost the size of an Avalon, this is huge news!
We will have Chris B. (MAXXMPG) for sure and possibly Wayne G. (xcel) on the show floor to bring you more on Sonata Hybrid plus Hyundai’s other NYIAS premieres live on March 31st.
This should be the reveal and highlight of the 2010 NYIAS and possibly the season when you think about it ;)
