A worker in Las Vegas accused Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger of forcing himself on her - criminal charges dropped, civil suit ongoing. Now he has a charge from a 20yr coed in Georgia for sexual assult.

See Innocent until proven guilty, except in NFL (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/36010079/ns/sports-nfl/)

Like the Toyota recalls, this is a trial by media.

Since this is PR, Big Ben seriously needs to avoid situations he could face more charges like this...many people think where there is smoke - there is fire.

I don't know about Roethlisberger's innocence or guilt, but an excellent point has been made he could be getting a break being a white guy - can you imagine how Donovan McNabb would be treated? ;)

NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell said he would talk to him and hinted he might suspend him even if the current charges don't stick....I think that's a bit too much, but Roethlisberger should be very concerned about his answers...if he lies he will get timed out quicker than you can say Michael Vick.

No charges filed against Big Ben, but many Steeler fans, Terry Bradshaw and most critically, the Rooneys are tired of the reckless behavior (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/peter_king/04/13/mail/index.html?xid=cnnbin&hpt=Sbin).

Strange - not that long ago, the Steelers won a Super Bowl while the Bengals had frequent brushes with the law....last season the Bengals made the playoffs while several Steelers got in trouble and missed the post season.

The Steelers just sent Santonio Holmes packing to the New York Jets yesterday because they were tired of his behavior off the field.

And look what happened to Plaxico Burress after the Steelers got rid of him.

One thing about the Rooney's as NFL owners, they don't mess around with problem players.

Ben is in no way out of the woods with the NFL or Dan Rooney.

He got involved in an motorcycle accident which wasn't his fault. The dumb thing was not wearing a helmet.

He's been accused of assault and there hasn't been a court case so there isn't any considered evidence out there.

Please media, just shut the feck up.

Commish Roger Goodell gave Roethlisberger a six-game suspension without pay...four for good behavior - more if he does not show progress.

Now there is talk the Steelers are open to trading him if the price is right.

They just picked up Byron Leftwich from Tampa Bay to replace Ben for his timeout in the corner. They really want to dump him this month for a top 10 first round pick.

Breaking News:
Plaxico Burress accidently shoots Santonio Holmes in the leg at a niteclub causing Holmes to throw a drink in Ben Roethlisberger's face which caused Roethlisberger to accidentally grope a waitress. The sound of the shot startled Jeff Reed, causing him to accidentally smash the men's room towel dispenser, scaring Matt Spaeth who then lost control of his bladder.... here we go steelers, here we go!!!!!

What ever happened to the good old days when players played we watched and nobody got in trouble for nothing.

To draw fans into the sports stations, in Dallas they are asking if they would sign off on trading Romo for Roethlisberger. A year ago, they would have wanted Big Ben....today, no way.

The suspension is reduced to four games.

And Byron Leftwich hurt his knee in last night's preseason game, so it looks like Dennis Dixon will start.
