Hi all--
Going to pick up my HCHII this weekend, as some of you are aware. Before I get started, though, I want to get ready to keep nice and accurate FE stats, which got me to wondering -- what is the best method of ensuring accurate fill-ups? I know there's a slight error in most new HCHII's and I'd like to keep better track.
Should I stop at the first click, to I fill it all the way up the neck of the filler, or something in between?
Because of the weird fuel bladder thingy, my wife's Prius is a pain to fill accurately and as a result we've yet to get a good calculated FE that I'm confident in. I know the Civic has a standard fuel tank so that shouldn't be an issue. In my Audi, I occasionally get a tank back pressure problem that makes it difficult to know exactly when the tank is full, so I've come not to always trust the click-off nozzles.
Any tips? --RN
