I'm new here, but didn't have much luck finding and answer to me question, so I thought I'd post it here...

The SGII does not read the Transmission Fluid Temerature of the Allison 2350 MH 6-Speed Transmission in my RV. There has been some experimenting with codes on a couple RV sights, but no one seems to have found the magic code yet. The temp can be read from the previous model Allison 5-Speed Transmission, so I'm sure it's possible...

Is there a way to query data from the vehicle and determine what code is being provided to the computer in order to get the temp reading displayed on the SGII?

Here is the link to the x-gauge codes from ScanGauge (http://www.scangauge.com/support/pdfs/XGAUGE.pdf).

If those don't work with your trans, give ScanGauge a call: Phone: 480-656-4089

msirach,

I have that reference and the codes listed for the Allison Transmission Fluid Temperature in the CANSF Chart don't work on the newer 6-speed transmission. They do work with the previous model 5-speed, so Allison must have changed the code.

I have also be in contact with Scott Ross with Linear-Logic, he initially referred me to the same reference. I've not heard back from him since I passed on my results...

I may have to see if I can find an engineer at Allison who's willing to give me the time of day, and pose the question to them!

Just thought I'd throw it out here as well, being as this group seems to have some pretty sharp folks working on all kinds of vehicles to get the most out of these gauges! Thanks for your reply!
