Pravus Prime

Too many complaint and negative articles here. I've had my FEH for just over a year an a half, and I like it! It's changed my perspectives on things, and generally made improvements in my life!
And no, I'm not going to apologize for it! It may not be a Prius, but it's my hybrd! :flag:

Even with the 4wd you are still getting better mileage than the average family car. Good choice.

We like that you drive a FEH, too! If our society is going to force us to spend countless hours in our cars, then I think we may as well choose one that we like. It doesn't have to be a Prius or an Insight or a Civic Hybrid if those cars don't suit your needs. That kind of LMPG on a 4WD vehicle is a testament to both you and the engineers that designed your car!

Pravus,
You know I'm not on your case.
This might be a good time to explain some of my past rants at Jumbo SUVs and one ton trucks. I seem to have stepped on some toes of people that are not my target - as hard as I've tried not to paint with a broadbrush.
Ironically, the first two years of my Insight was when I had the most trouble - days I typically went about 10mph over the limit. Some yahoo in the big pickup truck would blast by and occassionally I'd race. While sometimes the ones flying by were not being personal, there were definitely times it was (he just beat his girlfriend, has to be "top dog", my Insight looks like the 98-pound weakling at the beach, etc...). So maybe only every tenth one is rude - if you are the one on a 25-mile commute getting this treatment it will make an impression. The commercials just reinforce the impression that some of these guys are driving huge vehicles merely to address their inadequacies.
These days, the price of gas is about double of what it was then, I make more of an effort to give other drivers as much leeway as possible, I drive different routes at times when congestion is less. I have less frustration these days.
To wrapup, I've encountered a bunch of bad actors. They don't have to be the majority to stick out. I vent about them and others get uncomfortable.

FEH 4WD in canada are almost selling for the same price of a prius. Depending on what you need in your particular life (we get a lot of rain here) its good to see the price ranges are not too far apart so everyone has choices and a hybrid powertrain definitately knocks the pants off of a ICE powertrain when your doing stupid things like, finding a parking spot or waiting in line to get to a particular location.
Congestion scares me no more and for you Pravus you have the tall driving position, and the big cargo area. Maybe when I see a FEH with a decent price in my reach, who knows since I drive city most of the time and in city is where the dollar counts!
