Hi Rich:

___Although I could not make it to this meet as I have to leave for work again in 10 minutes, why don’t you consider coming out for a meet in our area? You can stay here for the night before/after and enjoy a nice and leisurely cruise across your fine state and some of ours. The Dan Ryan through the south side of Chicago is finally being opened back up w/ a another lane and traffic is finally subsiding so as to not cause to much havoc at all except during the rush of course.

The meet was a good one. A lot of the regulars where there. Wayne (FireEngineer) I think is his name, Bradlee and Justin Fons, Tony, Myself, A guy I knew by face, but don't remember his name. There was a guy with a PHEV Prius that used to own an electric vehicle that I'm sure Wayne(Xcel) would LOVE to have talked to.

I only stayed about 1 1/2 hours but our end of the table had some very interesting talk about pluggins and EVs and the challenges and ways to overcome the challenges of plugging them in.

I really would like to see more EV people join the site so we could have that kind of conversation here.

___It sure sounds like it was a great meet! And somebody was there with a PHEV conversion? Holy smokes did I ever miss out! Tom, you have to get him to the next gathering (when I am off) as that would have been another highlight of the day for me! Sorry I missed it.

I think it was a great meet. Different hybrids present; Tom's HCH, Herb's Escape, Justin's Insight, Mark's HyCam, Mike's Classic Prius and 4 GenII Prius. There was also an Accord Hybrid in the parking lot.

The PHEV belonged to Todd Dore who is Vice President of the Fox Valley Electric Auto Association. It is a PiPrius conversion, I believe the 21st one done, named "Grey Perl". Here is a little Wiki with pictures of his conversion http://www.eaa-phev.org/wiki/GrayPerl.

Hopefully Bradlee or Tony will post the pictures. I think Tony took a real good one of me installing Steve's block heater in the parking lot, it was so "expressive".
