i spent this morning washing, drying, clay-baring (is that a word?), and waxing hafnhaf. it rewarded me with an 80.3mpg trip to work! same kind of speeds and conditions as usual: 60-65mph, light traffic, no wind. been lucky to get 75mpg lately.

i think it just wanted to say thanks. :)


btw, Mothers clay bar system works wonders on the paint. the whole car feels like its made out of soft, cool glass. hard to describe, but its 18 bux well spent.

___Gotta love the clay bar. Still use Zaino clay on mine when I find the time and the smooth finish afterwards is amazing! It is a lot of work but on an Insight, I know your time was well spent ;) And where are those pics!

___Many of us struggle like hell to touch the 40’s and 50’s and you drive down the Interstate at 65 + to nail down an 80 + mpg segment. It pains me to hear you guys still nailing down huge numbers and to think about what I own now vs. what I used to :(

To make me feel soft, how much of it was highway? I do 85% - probably more than you do. Oh, I do it before rush hour.
