What does an Insight do when the throttle closes while in gear? Does it have any cylinder sealing capability similar to the Civic hybrids? Or does it just stop injecting fuel but keep pumping air like any other car?

Why do you ask? ___Good Luck ___Wayne brick 11-28-2006, 02:52 PM Wow, that was fast! Thanks for the response. As for why, I'm just trying to learn a little more about Insight driving dynamics. Let's just say that it's a slow afternoon and the "the voices" have grown exceptionally loud as a result. (The "FE gods" I guess. ;) ) About the only way to make them shut up is to feed them information. xcel 11-28-2006, 05:34 PM Hi Tim: ___I am sure that one day soon, you will get to take a lengthy drive in one of those FE monsters. With the right co-pilot, you will discover what they are capable of as well. I remember taking Mark (Green&Blue) out in the Little Red Beauty and he nailed down a 85 - 90 mpg segment just driving around the area in relatively heavy traffic. No P&G back then as I had no idea what that was :( Insight’s simply bleed FE when driven properly and I hope you get the opportunity in the very near future. ___Good Luck ___Wayne diamondlarry 11-28-2006, 07:48 PM Excel, I would LOVE to take one of those lengthy drives in an Insight with you in the right seat.:D brick 11-28-2006, 09:13 PM Seriously, sign me up! vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
