Howdy, took delivery last night of a 2010 Fusion SEL with the 6 speed auto. Is it possible to set an XGauge function to see what gear the trans is currently in? I have an older SGII, so I haven't upgraded the firmware yet. The problem is there is no indicator of what gear I'm in, so I don't know if I can get teh car to shift to a more economical gear by speeding up a little. It appears the shift point for 6th is about 50 MPH. And if it can't be done, does anyone have a list of the shift points? I also have been unable to find a BSFC chart for the car. I'm coming from a diesel Jetta, so I'm anxious to see how good I can do with the car.

Changes made in some '09 Ford products and in '10 Fusion has left OBD-II diagnostic devices like the SG, scanners, tuners, SuperChip, etc. in somewhat of a obsolete state! There's no info out there on these new systems yet. I bought a SCT engine tuner in late '08 or early '09 and had to return it because it wouldn't even connect to my '09 Escape. I contacted the dealer a few weeks ago and nothing has changed in at least a year!!

My AutoXray 6000 scanner shows 71 PIDs on a '02 Taurus but only 37 on my '09 FE.

According to my sources at Ford, the 2010 Fusion Transmission Control Module is still on the HS-CAN network. A few PIDs that should work are:

Gear commanded: $11B3
Transmission gear ratio:$163B
Transmission Temp: $11BD

You could try entering these in a CMNDS memory and hit SEND and see what comes back. If there are responses to these PIDs, some xguages should be able to be created.

I think that the $11BD is TFTV. The '10 Fusion uses the same 6F35 transmission as the '09 FE and a thread started about wanting to code a SG-II for TFT: http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24301

Tried all three using CMNDS SEND on my '09 Escape FE and got a blank screen. Tried them all several times. Funny, I read a review of a DashDAQ used on a '09 FEH which showed pictures of it reading TFT! I wonder if anybody is able to read TFT using a SG-II on a '09 FEH?
