Hi All:

___Although I do not know if this will apply to the FEH/MMH, it would bring about some very interesting numbers if it did?

Ford Spices Up Rebates To Goose Holiday Sales.

DEARBORN, Mich. - Following on the heels of General Motors' Red Tag promotion, Ford on Friday started its year-end sales promotion by adding cash rebates to several models.

The $1,000 bonus is on top of existing rebates, pushing the total discount to as high as $3,000 on some models, including the '07 Escape and the '07 F-Series Super Duty. The $1,000 cash rebate also applies to the '06 Ford Five Hundred and Freestyle. The automaker said a program offering zero-percent financing for 60 months remains available on some '06 models.

The Ford deals run through January 2.

What this means to you: Keep movin' product. The name of the game in Detroit is still desperately moving product.

I'm 99% sure it isn't. The fine print on the local ads is "excludes Mustang and Escape Hybrid."

Hi Rich:

___The Big 3 are doing there annual after Thanksgiving Day dump to get the cars/trucks off the lot from what I saw in today’s Chicago Tribune - Transportation section. The FEH is being offered up w/ at least a $2K rebate deal from Ford in my area. They have some more click type specials along side the $2K off but why bother … I even saw a brand new 07 offered up at $21,995 at Fox Lake Ford. I have a quote request in for that one as it is to far below invoice to make sense but I wanted to know. Not for myself mind you but for those interested in a new FEH before the New Years ;)

___I even saw a brand new but stripped 07 Ford Focus ZX-3 at just $9,105 and a brand new 07 (non-hybrid) Escape XLT for $14,995. Ford must really be in trouble to be giving away automobiles at these kinds of prices? Of course these are advertised prices and we all know the difference between advertised and what is available when you drive out to the lot :(

Hi All:

___Those prices were correct! If you are looking for an FEH, it may not get any better then this?

___For those that qualify for the X-Plan, that is usually another $1,000 off. Subtract the $2,600 Tax Credit and you are looking at an off the lot of ~ $19,000 ($20,000 for non X-Plan purchases) + TTL for an FEH with the Side and Side Curtains included.

Hi All:

___Add another $1K off in the Chicago area. Ford just announced another $1K off until the 28th of February as an Auto Show bonus for the Escape and any number of other Ford automobiles. If you can find an 07 on a lot in the Chicagoland area, expect ~ $4K under invoice + the $2,600 Tax credit. We are talking $19K w/ the safety package after giving the dealer $300 + holdback. **** is that a great price!
