With warmer temperatures (50ish) and light traffic I was able to get a respectable 52 mpg. I was thrilled. For a while I thought I might pull off a 55mpg segment but anyone that knows my route knows the last mile or so just nails me.

Tom,
Whatever happened with you CVT? I remember it had started to act funkily.

He had it serviced and it started working.

They flushed it twice. Seems okay. I've heard the "fix" lasts about 35K or so. We will see. They did change the formulation of their fluid so it may be more permanent.

Tom I would do a tranny fluid change every third oil change.
I do this with the Accord and Civic.
A basic fluid change is just a partial on the Accord of three quarts. I also change the filter for the tranny.
The Civic's change is 1.5 quarts and is a total drain and fill. No filter on the MT.
I hope Xcel is doing the drain fill on his Accord.
If your running M1 or another top end oil and filter in the engine. And doing oil changes at 10k to 15k miles. Then that puts the tranny service at every 30k to 45k miles. Its cheap ins. IMO
OOO great segment by the way! :)

I also do this with the Ranger.

It wasn't just a change. it was a flush.
