2010 Lexus HS 250h - $34,200 to start and 35 mpgUS combined on the 08 EPA.
Just a quick update on upcoming events and site support.
As you have all seen, the Enginer PHEV system (http://www.enginer.us/) is now a base level sponsor with a linked ad to the upper right of every page requested. I believe in their conversions given its ability to reduce our foreign oil dependence, overall consumption and in particular, its cost effectiveness just as much I believe in ScanGauges and how they have reduced our individual fuel consumption.
Currently, Enginer (http://www.enginer.us/) is pricing its 4kWh conversion system at an unheard of $2,295. This is just 25% of what others systems cost and although it works in an entirely different manner, a mostly highway Prius driver has a PHEV system that not only works but does so at a price that makes sense.

This DIY kit price is good through Christmas and I hope you find what they offer works for you.
For the LA Auto Show Press Event coverage, we will be subsidized by Midlands Honda out of Columbia, SC (http://www.midlandshonda.com/index.htm?q=Midlands+Honda&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGIH_en). You will begin to see their banner ads soon and if you are considering a new Honda from any dealership in the Southeast, by all means give Kacey Green a call as he is not only a mod here but is possibly the most well informed Honda Hybrid salesperson in the country. He is equally as knowledgeable on the rest of the Honda lineup up to and including Ridgelines and Pilots but hopefully our membership is considering Fit’s, Insight’s, Civic’s and Accord’s as their next daily driver instead :D

For the trip out to LA and back, we will have mobile access so expect to see quite a bit of on-the-road coverage both via video and written updates in what is tentatively scheduled to be a 2010 Lexus HS 250h for review. I will try and get some Route 66 video up although half of our travels will be in the night time hours :(
This should be a fun but somewhat tiring trip. 3 guys (Ken Gordon, Kacey Green and myself), 4,500 miles in an HS 250h, a Kawasaki KLX250SF review ride, LA Auto Show Press Event coverage and what is still currently being planned by an agency out of England for a Leno show hypermiling event using the European Ford Focus BEV. All in, this is going to be a pretty tough schedule since it will occur over just 8-days in December... And let us all hope we do not have any wild weather like we did through Missouri last year during the 48-Contiuous State_FE WR drive (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17869)
