Hello all,

This weekend I traded my 2009 Honda HCHII for an HS250h. Loved the HCHII ... other then it was just too small for me and I could never "get comfortable" in it. I'm a "big" individual and the HS250 is much more comfortable for my daily work commutes (32 miles each way).

Prior to purchasing, I drove the car for my daily commute "circuit" and was able to get 43.7 mpg over 150 miles of city/highway driving. This was w/out the help of my scanguage.

The 2 vehicles are quite different and I'm hoping as I learn to drive the HS ... for the MPG's to improve.

Nice. You will have to give us lots of gory details as you learn the ropes! I think you are the first among us to own one.

Congrats on your new purchase! I have sat in one a the shows and looked it over. It is a very luxurious and should get great mileage too!
What color did you get?

Hi Kgenaidy:

___I hope our preview helped convince you to take on this excellent hybrid as your own ;)

___Although the HCH-II will surely be missed, you did not lose as much as the EPA figures show. Around town, your HS 250h will eat the HCH-II alive and with a little finagling, I bet she is good for over 60 mpg on the highway in warmer temps as well? Probably at a slower speed than you want to travel on the I-80, I-5 or the 101 once outside of town but darn you have one very nice automobile :)

___If we pick up a few more owners like yourself, I will open up a Lexus HS 250h forum as I have been filling the Toyota forum with the News items for months!

___We are in the process of setting up our own week long review drive across the country with an HS 250h and if so, it will be a great learning and vacation experience for us all hopefully.

___Good Luck

The exterior color is sliver opel mica. Looks "whitish" silver in some light and slightly blueish silver in others. The interior is light grey.

It has the 225/45 18" wheels and with them at max sidewall (51 psi) it actually has a pretty good feel to it driving. It doesn't feel as "disconnected" as some of their other models.

Yes Wayne, the preview article was very good, and did influence me. Thanks very much for doing it!

A couple questions for you on the Scanguage ... I set it up for the 2.4L engine and a 15 gal tank ... does that sound right? Also ... since the hybrid system is different ... which "guages" will be the most useful? I have it set to MPG/RPM/LOD/IGN. Sorry if I'm asking on the wrong thread.

Hi Kgenaidy:

___Make sure you set it up for Hybrid ops in the fuel section and instead of a permanent LOD, I would consider using MPG, RPM, IGN and TPS. Just a suggestion to move you well on your way :) Great car to be on your way in too!

___Good Luck
