Hi All:

___Does anyone remember the Geo Metro/Suzuki Swift twins with an EPA of 45 or higher from yesteryear? Well guess what? GM still makes a similar variant of those two for Jamaican, Chinese, and Eastern Europe consumption.

The Chevrolet Spark is a five-door, five-seater economy car with an 800 cc, 6-valve, 3 cylinder engine, boasting a fuel economy of 45 miles per gallon. It is targeted towards the first-time car buyers who want to buy a new car and is being sold at $910,000.00. "The Spark is our best selling model, selling 8 to 10 units per month,"commented Nigel Pagon, CEO and chairman of GM Challenger. "We started selling it in June 2007, and females are the main consumers for this model."
___The Spark is priced in native Jamaican currency … whatever that is.

___I do not think an 800 cc – 3-cylinder car that is rated at just 45 mpg is worth the price of entry here in the states (Performance and size would be a bit on the low end) but it was nice to find that GM still has the gumption to make something that small with that kind of FE in other parts of the world.

___Good Luck
