View Full Version : St Louis Rams Might be Worst AND most offensive team in NFL Chuck 10-04-2009, 02:25 PM PFT: Limbaugh could become part-owner of Rams (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/04/limbaugh-could-be-a-parial-owner-of-the-rams) Chuck 10-06-2009, 10:24 PM FROM: Rams co-owner Rush Limbaugh TO: Rams players RE: Changes to the team Dear players: I’ve drafted a quick memo to inform you of the changes that will be taking place under my co-ownership. Handoffs will no longer be allowed because running backs that get handoffs only become dependent on handoffs. Henceforth, passing will be allowed only in the abstract sense, as in passing the blame, passing the buck, passing the bill onto future generations. The socialist urge to work as a team must be avoided. Set plays will be forbidden as they smack of Marxist central planning. Instead, each player should rely on his own individual pluck and determination. Should you find yourself in possession of the ball, you are instructed to carry said ball forward on your own as far as your talent and initiative will take you. Do not under any circumstances share the ball lest you contribute to the cycle of dependency among those players who are less fortunate. Let such players pull themselves up by their own jockstraps. Blocking, too, is verboten. We each must succeed or fail on our own merit without the preferential treatment that blocking affords a ball carrier. In this same spirit, I’m disbanding the special teams because the name alone implies that some players are getting special treatment. Additionally, I will be instructing players to completely ignore the officiating crews. Football is a self-correcting sport and we need to get Big Officiating off our backs. Fears that deregulation will lead to chaos on the playing field are unfounded. I’m certain these new rules will bring the Rams success on the field in the same way they’ve brought so much success to Middle Class Americans in the economy. Regards, (Not really) Rush Limbaugh Chuck 10-13-2009, 04:31 PM PFT: NFL commissioner hints Limbaugh can't own Rams (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/13/goodell-on-rush-divisive-comments-are-not-what-nfls-about) Also there is a story, don't know if it's true that Rush supposedly said he thought slavery was a bad thing but at least the streets were safe at night. If instead of being a middle-aged white guy I was African-American, how much more racists remarks would I pickup beyond this alledged one, his remarks about Donvan McNabb, and the way he enounciates Jesse Jackson's name? Very few get to make tens of millions a year....Rush did with a polarizing talk show.
