2010 Honda Insight-II - $19,800 to start and 41 mpgUS combined.
Honda awarded an all-new 2010 Honda Insight hybrid to Richard Hasenmyer of Houston, TX, as the winner of an environmentally-focused contest at the August 2009 – Chicago Lollapalooza music festival. Hasenmyer, along with thousands of other festival attendees, participated in the 'Rock & Recycle' program, which aimed to promote recycling and eco-friendly transportation.
Honda worked with C3, the promoter of Lollapalooza, as an official Eco-partner for the event. Honda's support as an Eco-partner on-site in Chicago included integrated "green" activities, hybrid-vehicle displays and the giveaway of the all-new 2010 Insight hybrid car.
"By participating in Rock & Recycle, the winner of this all-new Insight showed his passion for music and helping the environment," said Tom Peyton, senior manager of Honda national advertising. "These are two things that Honda is happy to actively support."
Honda is continuing its efforts to address the environmental challenges of global climate change, emissions reduction and energy sustainability through a comprehensive approach that involves further improvements to gasoline-engine fuel efficiency; the development of real-world alternatives to gasoline, including natural gas and the hydrogen-powered fuel cell car; and technology for refueling alternative fuel vehicles.
