2010 Toyota Prius-III is a proven winner no matter where you live or what language you speak.
Toyota’s Prius-III is proving itself to be extremely successful in the Japanese consumer marketplace as it has achieved best-selling car status for the second month in a row.
The 27,712 Prius cars last month are up nearly 25 percent from June, the initial launch month in June.
Japan has a much more comprehensive incentive program than the US including vouchers worth up to $4,500 for trading in gas-guzzlers and zero-tax provisions for hybrids worth about $1,500 on average. With gasoline costing almost 5X’s as much as in the states, a second incentive all its own is helping consumers decide that the overall most fuel efficient vehicle on the planet deserves consideration.
Toyota is telling its customers that are just now placing orders for the all-new 2010 Prius that they will have to wait until at least April as a future delivery date due to overwhelming demand.
Honda's Insight hybrid achieved sales of just 10,210 vehicles in July, seventh on the list and falling fast from its number one market position just two months preceding the Prius-III’s launch.
