400 grand/year. No one on the White House staff besides him makes more than 200 grand/year IIRC.

The President earns $400,000 per year, along with a $50,000 monthly expense account, a $100,000 non-taxable travel account and $19,000 for entertainment. The most recent raise in salary was approved by Congress and President Bill Clinton in 1999 and went into effect in 2001.

Don't think money has ever been the motivation to be POTUS

Consider the tax free perks, retirement, and medical benefits, and you have a compensation package that exceeds the salary by a factor of 10 at the very least. No rent, no transportation cost, no meals expense, and on and on.
