Hi Jud:

___Basjoos (Mike) was posting about this a few weeks ago. PM him as I am sure that will work out for you. I still have a room at the Clarion you can share if you need a plug for your machines.

___Good Luck

I still have room, since I'll be sleeping in my car and not setting up a tent. Also, although I have the site reserved for Thursday night through Sunday night, I'll only be using it on Thursday and Sunday, spending Friday and Saturday at the Clarion, since my car will be in the Ecomodder booth for the duration of the event. Seftonm will also be sharing the site, so a three-way split on the campsite fee for the 4 days will be a total of $34.

Hi Jud, it would be nice to share the spot with you as well, especially if you bring your guitar ;). The campsite that Mike and I are sharing has an electricity post. From what I saw last year, there is enough space for 3 of us to camp comfortably at one site.

OK, I'll plan on sharing the site with you all. The $34 split is good with me. I will be arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday morning. I have a large tent if anyone wants a space in it.

basjoos are you still planning to stop here in the Cincinnati area on your way up on Wednesday night. A room is still available for you and Kacey if you want it.

I was trying to add to the other HF thread about this... by now
I basically can't reserve and am intending to wing it for one of
the tent spaces, but I may be needing to poke one of y'all to at
least register me as an "additional car" for an overnight parking
permit and then retire out to the nearby parking lot.

I somehow missed anything about this thing, hybridfest. I'm not unaware that there is one, as I remember seeing a few pics of it when some of you came back, last year.

I guess if I want to go next year, I'll have to ask for the thread. I looked in the Events and Gatherings and I found nothing on the first two pages. Did I miss the big notice, thread, large front page headline? Is it an exclusive club?

I found this: http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=220709#post220709 in Events and Gatherings... , it has Invitation (crucial for participation), location, date, directions, cost (all good info) and it sounds really cool, kinda like hybridfest. Take pics! :p - Dale

Dale! Open your eyes! Look at the top right corner of every page on CleanMPG!;)

You would fit right in. They have changed the name to Hybridfest Green Drive Expo because it is about efficiency in ALL cars, not just hybrids. Clear your calendar. You still have time to make it.

I kind of see something now that you mentioned it. Looks kinda small and doesn't really flash "look at me, I'm cool and happening" more like "I'm background fluff". Thanks for pointing it out though. :D - Dale

Hopefully Wayne will chime in here and provide more details about all the great stuff he will be doing at Hybridfest Green Drive Expo.

Wayne has a major feature at GDE! He's being rather modest by not sharing it with you guys. But stay tuned I'm sure he will let you all know soon since the event is LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY! :-)

Since Wayne won't actually be at the CleanMPG booth other great folks from this board will help hold down the Fort at the CMPG booth for the weekend. (Thanks guys! You know who you are.)

Anyway, look for an announcement from Wayne. I'm sure you guys won't want to miss it.

And, yes, msirach is right... there is still time for you to make it. We hope to see you there!

o.k. since Wayne is not chiming in here, (maybe Ford's got a gag order on him.. just kidding) I'll reply to my own post....
Here's the info from Ford:
Special Saturday Session by Ford Motor Company
"How Did They Do That?"
11:00 - Noon
Upstairs Conference Room
Please join us for a special Ford Motor Company presentation: "How Did They Do That?", a closeup look at the story behind the class leading 41 mpg city fuel economy for the new Fusion Hybrid. Praveen Cherian, lead engineer on the Fusion Hybrid development team will take you behind the scenes to explain the new hybrid controls, new hybrid battery cell chemistry, regenerative braking and even the special Smart Gauge which coaches you in efficient driving to get the most out of your hybrid. Cherian will also share Ford's strategy for bringing electric vehicles to market over the next few years.

For added fun Hypermiler Wayne Gerdes will join us to explain how they squeezed 1,445 miles (81 miles per gallon) on a single tank of gas. That record for a gas powered, mid-sized sedan came after 69 hours of driving. Officially the Fusion's range is 700 miles per tank. Wayne will offer practical, everyday tips on how to maximize your mileage through eco-driving.

This will be a great time for people to find out more about how Ford, Wayne and the crew do what they do.

Wayne and CMPG, thanks for supporting the show and providing a voice for the green car community.

Okay, I've just landed in town and have tent site 32. See y'all
at the campground later! And at the cruise-in, for which I
have to get off the computer and go wire up some fun stuff.
