I'm going to drop him a comment - well done! --Ed.

We did it again. Just as Examiner.com’s Auto Review Examiner (with Evelyn Kanter, Examiner.com’s Green Car Examiner as navigator) recorded the high miles per gallon in a 2010 Toyota Prius at a Toyota media event in Florida, our Auto Review Examiner won again (with AutoInsane.com's Zane Merva reading the map) in a Lexus HS 250h at a Lexus media event in and around Tarrytown, New York.

What kind of mileage did it take to win? Up and down hills, with traffic lights, turning vehicles and driving through quaint business districts over a nine-plus mile course, the 2010 Lexus HS 250h showed 46.2 mpg on the average miles per gallon readout of its trip computer.

The 2010 Lexus HS 250h is the world first dedicated luxury hybrid sedan on the market, slotting in alongside the “comfort luxury” Lexus ES 350 and “performance luxury” IS 250/350/F in size if not personality.... http://www.examiner.com/x-572-Auto-Review-Examiner~y2009m6d26-Road-Test-2010-Lexus-HS-250h-car-review-dedicated-to-hybrid-tech

Well - the last thing I remember, Doc, I started to swerve
And then I saw the Jag slide into the curve
I know I'll never forget that horrible sight
I guess I found out for myself that everyone was right

"Won't come back from Dead Man's Curve"

Not sure Jan and Dean were hypermiling their Stingray, though.

Back on topic, it is encouraging to see reviews where sensible, safe and efficient techniques are employed and positive results are reported. We need a lot more reviews like this. :)

Let John know I'm upstate and all we would need is an appointment :D. hmmm...my car is off the road for now so I might be out of it.

wow- I'd guess I had not really paid attention to it before but this thing weighs nearly 3700lbs! No wonder it needs such a big ICE. I was picturing something smaller based on the pics. Given the dimensions, this must be a pretty good size car. I'm guessing this one will be a better highway driver (aka the HCH). Seems like an awful lot of mass to get rolling after each stop.
