Well I was at it again last week.

I saw an under engine cover tray that had gotten smashed up and was being thrown away and just could not resist myself. I cut what was left of the corners where the original mounting tabs were, (this is where the damage was) to fit the frame rails on the Blazer and put it on with a handful of self tapping sheet metal screws. It didn't turn out too bad for 10 minutes and no out of pocket $.

I'm not sure what if any benefit I'll actually see out of it, but it felt good to do. Now I've got my eyes out for one of the big 7 series BMW trays, to complete the section from the original Chevy engine cover to the new one I just added between the trans and the fuel tank. That would give me a pretty clean underside from the front bumper all the way back to the fuel tank. Again, I'm not sure if it will make a difference in my fe but it's fun to do and doesn't really cost me anything.

Check out the pics and let me know what you think.
