I have relaxed my hypermilling.:eyebrow: and wanted to share something I never realized.

P&G with FAS on the Freeway was a great deal of work and the low speed (40 or even 45) became a liability for me. It was also totally no good on long trips (>100 miles) as it hurt my left knee bad

What I'm now doing is setting the CC on 55 and no A/C . No A/C is normal for me even in South Fla. I find that speed does not create hardly any issues for the faster cars I share the road with.

Anyway my SG with 0 correcting on the fuel side has always been spot on when I do not hi speed P&G + FAS. So for the last two weeks I was watching the daily 45 to 48. I filled up yesterday and measured 48mpg proving just slowing down works very well.

Depending on the traffic and road I do P&G and FAS off the Freeway and a great deal of engine breaking when timing the stop lights.

I mention this as I know of the Fit owners have stopped all hypermilling and wanted to mention the great FE with low speed. It's easy as pie.

It's too bad that the MT revs higher than an AT on the highway or I bet you'd be getting in the 50's.

I confirmed this today on my morning commute to work(60miles). I Drive similar to Paul but I checked my tires pressure and it is at 50psig which I forgot to inflate them after my road trip last weekend. I put it on cruise at 55mph on the segments which allowed me to(this is about 2/3 of my commute) and I achieved 47.5mpg with my correction set at 0.7%.

The fit is the sh!t!

I'd like to back this up as well. Just slowing down really does yield numbers *almost* as good as P&G.
Additionally my SGII fuel correction is now accurate at 0% since I've stopped P&G.

In my fiancee's 09 Fit Sport AT she got a tank of 41 mpg hand-calculated with little-to-no hypermiling doing all freeway.

These little cars are very efficient even as it is.

I can appreciate what you are saying, but with the CA traffic I don't find P&G that stressful, and I'd *really* like to get that 70 mpg tank! Maybe then. :)
