We’re climbing the Cote de Montagne, a steep approach that curves up to the ramparts of the old town of Quebec.
And I’m thinking, “This is probably not the best way to attain great fuel economy.”
But this is real world testing and we are in just one of Ford’s latest Fusion additions to the midsize market – the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid.
Since its introduction, the Fusion has proved a viable alternative to Camry, Accord and Altima.
Now, for the 2010 model year, the Fusion lineup has evolved and expanded with a refinished design, new technologies and a four-selection palette of powertrains that includes a brand new hybrid model.
Fusion’s design and styling proved popular from the get-go, inspired by the 427 concept, and adapted and adopted across the lineup as the new look for the Ford family. This latest Fusion makeover thickens the bars on the now trademark three-bar grille, adds a powerdome hood, restyled projector headlamps, a new lower fascia and some rear accent lines. Changes you don’t see - new underbody shields – add to a smoother aerodynamic package.
