My inspection sticker was due this month so I had to get new Bridgestone PE92s to pass inspection. While the rubber porcupine quills are still wearing off, I think my FE could be taking a slight hit. It's more an observation than a complaint. Nest time I get gas, I'll check the pressure too.

Hi Chuck:

___Yes, even the mighty RE92’s will give your FE a hit until they are scrubbed. Just the nature of the beast. Under-inflation (anything below MAX sidewall is under inflated to me ;)) would certainly kill her as well so get those things pressed up ASAP!

___Good Luck

My probable "hit" is probably 2mpg. Am I a hypermiler? :D

I had the same thing happen changing my tires. After about 500 miles, they noticeably rolled better.

I just put air in the tires.

All of them were 30psi or less - the right front one was under 20psi!

FE is better now... :)

Hi Chuck,

Shame on you :( Bad Chuck, You need to do a check on the tires once a week on say Saturday or Sunday and then you are ready for the next week (IMO). ;)
