View Full Version : Replacement tires for my TCH?

02-17-2009, 10:44 AM
Yesterday, I found a huge chunk of metal wedged in my rear tire. I had to get a replacement Michelin Energy tire. I almost fainted when I heard the price...$225 for one tire!!!
There is no way that I am paying $225x4 in another 30 to 40,000+ miles.

Do I have options? Are there less expensive low rolling resistance tires out there?

Hi Nicst:

___You should be able to find the Energy’s for the low to mid $100’s at Sam’s or Costco. Tire Rack is showing $158 for the TCH’s OEM Energy’s per as well. Mounting and balancing from just about any shop should cost no more than $20.00 per tire once you have them in your hands.

___Other tires to consider? The Bridgestone Ecopia’s and GoodYear Assurance Max. I do not know about prices or the sizes of ether yet however.

___Good Luck
