Stumbled across the other day a Bose car suspension system.
Yep the same Bose that makes high end audio equipment.
They have developed an Active car suspension system

I would think Glide distance over rough surfaces would be significantly better. You would not lose as much energy into the moving the mass of the up and down in the bumps.
But then….
You would need to put power into the suspension, that could cancel out any glide gains.
