Is there a way to reset the Scangauge to factory zero?
Also, can you connect it to a computer via the cable and download information?

Thanks.

Hi Mr. Burns:

___You can reset to defaults but that is not 0? Home --> More --> More --> More --> Reset to Defaults --> Yes. It will take the base programming out but all the previous data recorded for previous day through Tank are still held.

___Good Luck

I called the folks at Scangauge and apparently you can't reset to factory nor can you download the information to a computer although in the future they might write a program for it.

Hi Mr. Burns:

___You may have misunderstood? You can reset to factory defaults but you cannot reset the cumulative data that is stored.

To clarify, reset to factory in the sense of out of the box from factory with no data.

What data would be left?

What I am thinking:
All Tank Data is Cleared when filling.
Trip Data is cleared each trip.
Day Data is cleared each day.
Previous Day is over written each Day

Yeah but, if you unplug your scangauge after every use like me, your current day data never ends.

yes but that is an easy fiX.
plug in, turn on the car, turn off the car,
repeat next day,
Every things gone right?

or would there still be data?

oops reread... unplugged your current day never ends. . 'Hmm.

I just wish there was a Reset function on the day, just like on the Current trip.
