i have a gas furnace that is circa 1986. Do you think it would be advantageous to try to pulse and glide it? Our bills aren't to crazy but I'm always trying to save a buck when i can.

Lights off at some temp, brings up temp by 2 degrees or so depending on how wide a band is set at the T-Stat and shuts down until the lower limit is reached again. ___Good Luck ___Wayne msirach 01-05-2009, 10:19 PM I installed a new HE furnace this summer and it has a built in 2 speed pulse and glide. In standard mode, if the logic detects that it called for heat and it didn't run long, the next time, the gas valve doesn't open as much for a lower btu output and the fan doesn't run as fast. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
