View Full Version : "Kill or be Killed" Rush Hour Mentality

Ironically this segment of Greenville Ave. is right by the Richardson Police and Fire Department.

A couple of time in the last week, I'll get on the road on the rightmost lane during heavy traffic. It's got three lanes and in a quarter-mile I've got to go left two lanes to make a left turn. Twice a couple of people have given me the horn or bright lights. My turn was not the most polite, but neither was it the patently offensive type I see daily (and sometimes have done to me. It was one of those rush hour lane changes that might be slightly rude, but 80% of people just dismiss as "it's rush hour...". Can't prove it, but I'd bet at least one of these guys that got upset at me has probably swerved a couple of lanes to make a freeway exit in the space of twenty yards.

Yes, I'll try to avoid this section during the heaviest traffic when possible.

Simply put - a lot of people snap when other drivers do like them.

If were are honest with ourselves - we know we get made at other drivers that have done things we have done - mabye on that very trip. I know I have. :o (but have tried to work on that recently....)
