JFK as assassinated here in Dallas 45 years ago this weekend.
I'm not going to comment on the event itself but to note it should go down as the first modern breaking news event as we know it:
News came out in minutes
The entire world was listening
Networks were on the air 24/7 covering the assassination as small bits-and-pieces came in, or even marking time until more was known.
