I found an entertaining page (http://www.roadtripamerica.com/DefensiveDriving/Drive-Safe-With-Uncle-Bob.htm) geared toward the roadtripper, which
of course should apply to everyone everywhere on any kind of drive.
The author is a driving instructor. He's got it wrong about tire
pressure, an honest mistake for someone who doesn't hang around here.
Otherwise the list is a good addition to various safety link-farms,
right along with DrDriving and some of our own pieces on the subject.
The roadtripamerica site is also pretty interesting in its own right.

He said in one page that you go a mile every 27 seconds on the highway.... Horrible math. At 60MPG you go a mile every 60 seconds, so this guy drives at around 125MPH I assume?

Actually, he was describing the closing speed of two approaching vehicles at 65 mph in a head-on collision. His math is correct under those circumstances.

I see, I am corrected then. Looks like my math is good, but my reading apprehension fails.

Your apprehension is fine, but comprehension is in question...
