A car hit three people after a half-marathon at White Rock Lake on Sunday. All three were walking back to their cars at around 11:30 a.m. when a car lost control on Northwest Highway and hit them as they crossed the street. The driver told investigators she lost control and her brakes failed before she hit the two men and one woman. The three pedestrians and the driver were taken to the hospital. Deputy Chief Tom Lawrence tells the Dallas Morning News the driver could face charges for driving without valid insurance and for driving with an invalid license. But there are plenty of them around here. :mad

All the blogs and media obsessing on hypermilers instead the far more common brain-dead drivers.

There were thousands of runners - goes without saying to slow down.

I worry a lot about idiot drivers when I bike the Houston roads too.
